Candid Antics

Based in Grand Rapids, MI, Candid Antics is a six-piece jazz fusion group rapidly gaining recognition as a top local act. Their original music dubbed “party-fusion” is based around energetic sax and violin lines, thumping bass, engaging chord changes and an all mighty groove. Candid Antics puts on high-energy shows with an unmatched level of musicianship and improvisational skill. The group takes influence from Snarky Puppy, Dixie Dregs, Chick Corea, Casiopea and Ghost-Note to name a few. Although still young (less than 3 years old), members in Candid Antics have experience playing all over the world with a collective 60+ years of shows and touring. They’ve earned accolades including winners of the 2023 Walk the Beat competition, finalists in the 2023 'The Stray' Battle of the Bands, and official artist performances at the SXSW festival in Austin, Texas. The group currently has one full length album “Sounds Like Music” out everywhere with new music being actively recorded. Candid Antics is actively touring around the midwest as they breathe new life into the golden era of fusion, bringing it to the modern age.
