The Drive Home

Since the mid-2010s, songwriter, vocalist, and guitarist Sean Zelda has quietly collaborated with bassist/backup vocalist/former This Emergency (now We Came As Romans) bandmate Sean Daly on original music. When drummer Austin West came along, the stars finally aligned to form Detroit DIY alt emo power trio The Drive Home. The project features fiery emo vocal hooks, melodic guitars, and energetic drumming. The band released their first single "Off The Deep End" in July 2025 and have released 3 songs, each supported by music videos and behind-the-scenes content on their YouTube Channel (@thedrivehome_mi). TDH has played recent live shows at the Old Miami, The Blind Pig, Lager House, and Parts & Labor Bar. 2026 looks like another big year, with plans to release the final song for their first EP and new singles and music videos for their 2nd EP.
