The Kings of Strings

The Kings of Strings are a rock ‘n roll / blues rock band from Detroit, Michigan. The band formed in the Summer of 2016 by high school classmates Luke Porada & Jake St. Pierre and consists of Aaron Weisman (vocals, rhythm guitar), Jacob St. Pierre (lead guitar, vocals), Luke Porada (bass) and Noah Wojcik (drums). With sounds and influence from the likes of Rage Against the Machine, The Raconteurs, Bob Mould, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Muddy Waters, Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin, and many others. The Kings of Strings have been published in The Observer Eccentric Newspaper, Local Spins, The Detroit News, they have been featured in a commercial for The New York Jets, the Hino Truck Company and performed on Detroit’s WDIV TV’s Live in the D Music Monday Show. Since those high school days, The Kings of Strings have played in clubs, bars, venues, and outdoor events in Detroit, Ann Arbor, Belleville, Lansing, Livonia, Chicago, Toledo, and Grand Rapids. The Kings of Strings music has been played on WRIF Radio in Detroit and WYCE Radio in Grand Rapids and several college and internet radio stations across the country, including Oakland University’s “Fresh Finds” program as well as internet radio stations across the globe. The band released their first self-titled debut album, THE KINGS OF STRINGS in 2022 and their second full-length studio album called MEMENTO on June 29, 2024. Both albums are available on your favorite streaming platform. The band is currently performing around metro Detroit promoting their albums.
