Legacee Fairchild Mayes 'Legace’, is a young, female singer-songwriter hailing from Metro-Detroit, a graduate from The University of Michigan. She is most notably known for her contrasting vocal abilities, swinging between powerful raspy vocals and a soft, retro deliverance. Her music thematically explores romance, grandeur and philosophy, expressed through vocabulary aesthetics and synthesizing concepts. Her sound reaps cinematic, yacht-rock and jazz. She has attributed her influence to the diverse range of music from childhood, including 70’s rock bands like America and CSNY, 1950’s Jazz, and 90’s Rock. She is currently based in Los Angeles, and fronting a rockband in the local Detroit scene 'Dayproof'.
