North Ingalls

North Ingalls is a seven-piece indie folk-groove sound. All members of North Ingalls hail from the University of Michigan (Go Blue!) and met through the School of Music. The original music of North Ingalls is a vibrant patchwork of seven unique individual sounds, each coming together to celebrate and reflect their personal experiences. The music draws inspiration from the traditional genres of folk, jazz, rap, and R&B, influenced by artists such as The Lumineers, Noah Kahan, and John Mayer. However, the group is always expanding their ears, continually finding new music and new sounds to feed their passion and broaden their artistic horizons. The band has gained a devoted following for its deeply honest and detailed narrative lyrics, brought to life by their emotionally raw vocals and rich, full-bodied sound. Currently based in Ann Arbor, Michigan, North Ingalls has consistently drawn large crowds to established venues and events around the city, including North Star Lounge, The Blind Pig, and the Ann Arbor Art Fair. Live shows have been a key element to the growth of their diverse fanbase as they work on their debut full-length album, an 8-track collection set for release in 2025. As they are able to adapt and bring fresh material to any spotlight, no venue is too small or too big for their music.
