NEW RELEASE:
“SCIENCE SAVES US”
by
JENN’S APARTMENT
Jenn’s Apartment, the Lansing-based power-pop band, is back with a politically charged new single, “Science Save Us,” available everywhere on Friday, June 27th.
Formed in 2004 and reformed in 2014, Jenn’s Apartment blends 90s emo nostalgia with modern punk urgency. Their latest track, “Science Save Us,” takes direct aim at the current political climate, issuing a fierce plea to doctors, mental health professionals, and scientists to continue serving the public despite mounting governmental resistance. Inspired by recent policies from the current administration and its controversial Secretary of Health and Human Services, the song acts as a rallying cry to protect access to psychiatric care and medical truth.
Musically, the track showcases the band’s signature jangly guitar riffs, driving basslines, and punchy drums, channeling influences from Jawbreaker, The Get Up Kids, and Alkaline Trio. Produced and recorded in their self-built Lansing studio, “Science Save Us” captures the band’s raw DIY ethos while evolving their power-pop storytelling to meet the moment.
“Science Save Us” will be available on all major streaming platforms starting June 27, 2025. You can listen to it now here on Rock in Detroit. To learn more about the band, visit jennsapartment.net.
