New Release from The 3148s
Detroit-based rockers, The 3148s are scheduled to released a new single, “Cabin Fever.” “Cabin Fever” is a frantic take on the isolation, cold, and the creeping effects of seasonal affective disorder. “The track kind of took on a life of its own and just got faster and faster in the studio. To the point where it was just a runaway train,” says 3148s bassist, Jay Seifert. With their signature sound, “Cabin Fever” is both urgent and unhinged—with hooks, pounding beat, and over-the-top vocals.
On the B-side, “The Enchantress,” is the next chapter in The 3148s Martian Space Opera. It follows up on the unexpected success of their single “The General,” which took on a life of its own with airplay across Mexico City and South America. This new track expands the band’s influences (garage rock, Americana and grunge), adding progressive/hard rock structures to their sound.
The 3148s continue the journey that carried them from their debut EP, charting in the top 100 on the College Radio charts, to the stages in Austin, Texas during SXSW, and then back to Michigan where they packed the Magic Bag, headlining LAWlapalooza. “Cabin Fever” / “The Enchantress” is set to release on 02/21/2025 and will on Spotify and other streaming services.
